GxWorks to present at booth #2845 at NBTA 06 Chicago International Convention & Exposition
Atlanta, GA May 19, 2006 --
GxWorks, a technology consulting firm specializing in service-oriented
architecture, announced today that it will present the Incentivized Travel Expense Management
system (ITEM) in booth #2845 at the National Business Travel Association Convention held July 16-19
at Chicago's McCormick Place.
Over 5000 corporate travel professionals will attend NBTA Chicago/06, providing GxWorks with the broadest possible exposure for ITEM v1.5, the latest release of GxWorks' flagship product that provides a target-based approach to expense management.
GxWorks Director of Sales Raj Contractor said, "We're excited to be a part of this year's NBTA
Convention. As the largest convention for the business travel industry, we feel that NBTA will give
ITEM the exposure needed to accelerate ITEM sales growth. We are also planning to present at the
NBTA Technology Pavilion at the convention, which provides a venue for technology providers to do
in-depth demonstrations for travel technology buyers."
The NBTA Chicago International Convention & Exposition will be held from July 16-19 at McCormick
Place in downtown Chicago. GxWorks booth #2845 will be open during Exposition Floor hours: Monday,
July 17th from 1:45 pm - 5:30 pm, Tuesday, July 18th from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm, and Wednesday, July
19th from 10:15 am - 1:00 pm.
GxWorks will present ITEM v1.5 at the NBTA Convention. ITEM provides a unique approach to T&E
management by using expense benchmarks to both incentivize lower travel spending and to pinpoint
areas of excessive spending. ITEM provides online expense reporting with the addition of expense
targets that are calculated for every trip. Travel managers can use ITEM's expense targets to find
cost drivers, and can also incentivize employees to spend below targets, generating savings for the
company and rewards for the employee. Clients can use ITEM to provide complete expense management
functionality, or they can integrate ITEM with existing T&E systems to take advantage of ITEM's
benchmarking and incentive capabilities.
About NBTA and the NBTA International Convention & Exposition
NBTA connects the business travel world and promotes the value of business travel management.
Travel costs typically represent a company's second or third-largest controllable expense. And
just as business travel is closely linked to the U.S. economy, so is professional business travel
management linked to the achievement of a company's goals and objectives.
The authoritative voice of the business travel community is the National Business Travel
Association, representing over 2,500 corporate travel managers and travel service providers who
collectively manage and direct more than $170 billion of expenditures within the business travel
industry, primarily for Fortune 1000 companies.
The NBTA International Convention & Exposition is widely recognized as the premier event in the
corporate travel industry. Each year, thousands of travel managers and suppliers converge to take
advantage of NBTA's exclusive education and networking opportunities.
